The $1 billion mixed-use redevelopment Edge-on-Hudson includes a variety of townhomes, apartments, and condominiums on the property.

The land that used to house the North Tarrytown Assembly Plant — where GM operated for nearly a century, cranking out an estimated 12 million vehicles — will soon be home sweet home for suburban urbanites seeking a live/work/play lifestyle along the Hudson River.

As part of the $1 billion mixed-use redevelopment, known as Edge-on-Hudson, national builder Toll Brothers will be erecting a variety of townhomes, apartments, and condominiums on the property. After nearly two years of infrastructure improvements, construction finally began in October on 46 luxury loft condos (one-, two-, and three-bedrooms) and 72 brownstone-style townhomes that will range from three to four stories.

Toll Brothers plans three unique housing districts — Kingsland Point District (luxe townhomes), Waterfront Park District (condos with a “citified” vibe), and the Loft District (“stylish, artful apartments”) — encompassing a total of 1,177 housing units, all within a five-
minute walk to the Hudson River. The builder plans as many as 306 total units for the project’s first phase of construction, including 40 affordable senior units and 21 affordable workforce housing units.

Edge-on-Hudson, a joint venture between California-based SunCal and Diversified Realty Advisors LLC of New Jersey, will also include a boutique hotel, more than 100,000 sq. ft. of retail space and an office complex, along with more than 16 acres of parkland.
