There are hundreds of white paints to choose from. However, they are not all created equal.
Color: White Dove, by Benjamin Moore
When we moved into our house almost three years ago, we painted many of the walls white. We used Cotton Fluff from Behr. We wanted a blank canvas to work from, and I wanted my art to shine, so I left the walls white for a clean and modern look.
When I was redecorating my living room almost a year ago, I enlisted the help of designer and TV personality Lorri Dyner. We knew we wanted to go with a preppy color palette of white, navy, and Kelly green in order to brighten up the space. Although it had already been painted Cotton Fluff, she suggested we repaint it with Benjamin Moore’s White Dove.
I was skeptical at first. It seemed like a lot of work to repaint an entire room from white to another white, but I am so happy we did. (You can see my full living-room redesign in the fall issue of Westchester Home, coming soon.)
See how well it works in this bright, white living room. - Partner Content -

If you’ve been thinking about painting and want to go with a clean, modern slate, I definitely would suggest following Lorri’s lead and using White Dove.
