Founded in in 1998, Cocoon Gallery is returning to Greenwich this month. After opening showrooms in Naples and Palm Beach in 2020 and 2024 respectively, owner Mitchell Siegel is coming home to where it all began in an expanded location on 17-19 East Putnam Ave.
The new 5,000-square-foot showroom almost doubles the size of the previous space with two stories full of Cocoon’s signature nature-inspired designs. From root sculptures and live-edge tables to semi-precious tabletop décor, all the furnishings and accessories are unique and popular with interior designers, architects, and homeowners in Florida and Connecticut.
“Greenwich has always been our home,” says Siegel. “When we relocated to Florida in 2020, it was never meant to be permanent. Over the past three years’ hiatus, we’ve renovated and expanded our original Greenwich building, making now the perfect time to return to the vibrant community that first embraced our vision.”
All of Cocoon’s items are crafted by artisans at their woodshop in Naples, Florida, using sustainably sourced wood from Southeast Asia. The company replaces each tree with a new one as part of its mission and commitment to the environment.
