A Tale of Two Houses, Mixed Messages in Chappaqua, and a New Designer Showhouse

Instead of just one house of the week, we’re going to wow you with two.

HOUSES OF THE WEEK

Instead of just one house of the week, we’re going to wow you with two. In some ways—price, for starters—they’re very much alike. And they’re both luxurious, waterfront properties. But, after that, they are two very different abodes. One is a Mediterranean-style mini-palace on the waterfront in New Rochelle. The other is an Adirondack-style chateau in Armonk.

Crossed Messages

Decisions on what’s to become of the Chappaqua Crossing proposal are expected by month’s end, but SG Chappaqua B, LLC, the site’s owner, has filed two lawsuits alleging that the New Castle town board is now favorably disposed to allow new commercial tenants in the former Reader’s Digest headquarters—especially since the global publisher no longer has offices there—but has serious questions about new housing on the grounds. We’ll keep you posted.
