With a combined 44 years of experience in the lighting industry, Candace Pereira and Rina Dimarte (pictured, left to right) debuted their lighting showroom, Chloe Winston Lighting Design, in December. After looking at a potential location in Westport, off I-95, they decided to open shop around the corner from where they met and worked together at Klaff’s in South Norwalk. After Klaff’s closed, the pair decided to do what they know best, by providing their wealth of knowledge and expertise in the lighting industry.
The name of the showroom comes from a combination of Pereira’s cat’s name (Chloe) and Dimarte’s dog’s name (Winston). The elegant space features 20 manufacturers (with access to 50 more) and 500 options, all well-curated by the owners. Shoppers are surrounded by beautiful options at every turn but not overwhelmed by too many choices. “This is what we know,” says Pereira. “There are not very many lighting showrooms in our area; we have a wealth of knowledge, the same prices as the Internet, and free design services.”
The showroom features sconces, chandeliers, pendants, and table lamps. And if you don’t see exactly what you like, Pereira says they can get it for you. Designers and homeowners are flocking to the shop from Greenwich, Westport, and Westchester, so the duo is confident about their chances for the store’s bright future.
