Bilotta Kitchens of Mamaroneck, Mount Kisco, and Manhattan, has launched the first design in its Bilotta Collection cabinetry line, a stunning, forward-looking fusion of metal and wood. Developed by Bilotta Senior Designer Randy O’Kane to introduce the new cabinet line, the showroom display pictured here features a sophisticated marriage of gray tones, varying textures, and even a little bling, thanks to the polished stainless accents. Other details include Artistic Tile’s glazed Kyoto brick tiles in both glossy white and metallic; Ceramica Design Italia’s lava-stone top in its deep blue mercurio; La Cornue’s Château 120 range in stainless steel with brushed stainless and nickel accents; and accessories by Michael Aram, all set off by teal painted walls. Pricing varies according to design.

Salisbury & Manus Online

Let’s say you have impeccable taste and know just what you want. No, you’re not an interior designer—nor do you feel the need to consult one. You could cajole a friend in the biz to place orders for you, but that feels, well, tacky. But you’d really, really like that designer discount. Now Bronxville interior design firm Salisbury & Manus has introduced an online service for savvy consumers like you that enables its membership to enjoy industry net pricing. Members in the Salisbury & Manus Luxe Club have access to “trade only” showrooms like the D&D Building in Manhattan and the ability to purchase fabrics, wallcoverings, carpeting, furniture, lighting, decorative accessories, tile, plumbing, etc. at net cost, either online or in retail stores. For example: a Hickory Chair covered in a Clarence House fabric that retails for more than $9,000 would cost a Luxe member less than $3,600. Members pay $795 annually and hundreds of major upscale home furnishings brands including Baker Furniture, Jonathan Adler, Osborne & Little, Ralph Lauren Home, Scalamandre, Stark Carpet, etc. are represented.  RuLi Artisans Shop

1934 Palmer Ave, Larchmont
(914) 341-1242

This light-filled little shop showcases handcrafted, one-of-a-kind works for oneself and one’s home, all carefully curated by New Rochelle resident and jewelry designer June Walden. With a Lyndhurst-meets-art-gallery vibe, the work of each of the 36 local artists and fine craftspeople is exhibited alongside a museum-like placard bearing the creator’s name, hometown, photograph, and other info. Visitors to RuLi—the name honors the memories of the owner’s beloved standard poodles, Ruby and Lili—will enjoy browsing an eclectic selection of offerings to the strains of Norah Jones, Paul McCartney, and Diana Krall. We were particularly taken by the handsome hand-turned wooden bowls ($25 to $200) by Jim Tyrrell of New Rochelle, who uses the wood from trees that fall naturally during storms, and another woodworker, Esteban, an artisan/arborist who works with portions of just-cut-down trees. Colorful mosaic picture frames and mirrors by Libby Denenberg of Mamaroneck ($35 to $250), exquisite hand-blown glass vases with delicate ruffled edges from artisan/dentist Paul Giotopoulos ($200 range), and kiln-formed glass plates, trays, and bowls that are both decorative and useable ($50 to $250) by Martha Taylor of Rye also caught our eye. Rounding out the tableware mix is the work of several noteworthy ceramicists. Artwork includes original oils by award-winning artist Catherine Caulfield Russell of Yonkers and nautical paintings by artist/sailor Brechin Morgan of Connecticut plus watercolors and photographs on canvas.
