3 New Luxury High-Rise Rentals Go Up in Yonkers

Removing any doubt that Yonkers is one of the hottest markets in the county for new residential projects is a trio of apartment towers that made recent debuts in this Southern Westchester hotspot: Sawyer Place (at 55 Main St) and River Club at Hudson Park (at 63 Wells Ave) are in Downtown Yonkers, while Stratus on Hudson (at 1077 Warburton Ave) is in North Yonkers.

The three luxury high-rise rental buildings have a lot in common, as they all tout top-of-the-line amenities, proximity to transit into NYC, affordability (relative to the City), and the increasingly popular urban/suburban lifestyle that many Westchesterites are seeking.

Sawyer Place, from developer RXR Realty, is one block from Metro-North’s Yonkers station and features two residential towers with studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom luxury apartments with Hudson River views. Starting rates range from $1,805 for a 472 sq. ft. studio to $3,159 for a 1,048 sq. ft. three-bedroom.

Amenities include high-end finishes, a rooftop terrace with an outdoor movie theater, Fitness Factory Health Club, and concierge services, as well as more than 35,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space and a 539-vehicle, three-story parking garage. Residents are already living in the 17-story Tower 1; Tower 2, with 25 stories, will be ready for move-in this summer.

River Club at Hudson Park, which opened at the end of 2018, consists of studio (starting at $1,720), one-bedroom (starting at $2,595), and two-bedroom (starting at $2,870) luxury units featuring granite countertops and subway-tile backsplashes, Energy Star Whirlpool appliances, Kohler fixtures, and walnut cabinets with soft-close hardware. The building offers sweet perks, including a ground-floor River Club Lounge, an indoor pool overlooking the river, a roof-level River Club Bar with floor-to-ceiling windows, state-of-the-art fitness room, and 24-hour concierge service.
