Whether you’ve just moved into a new space or are just growing tired of the look you’ve been living in, Westchester has a bevy of options for residents looking to update their homes with new (and new-to-them!) furnishings. Here are a few of the best local shops for picking up fresh pieces.
Blithewold Home Antiques & Design
Mount Kisco
With two Mount Kisco locations — 326 and 495 Lexington Ave. — this shop is an ideal place to pick up lighting, tables, seating, and even decorative elements like mirrors, art, and outdoor/garden pieces!
Briggs House Antiques
Port Chester
This county favorite has been supplying Westchester and the surrounding areas with affordable antiques for thirty years. Specializing in pieces from the 18th, 19th, and early 20th Centuries, their 8,000 sq. ft. warehouse is great for decking out many of the area’s historic homes.
It’s not too early to start thinking about the holidays! If you’re planning on hosting and are in need of a new table, stop by our showroom and take a look at our selection of live edge tables. More info here: https://t.co/VgWiel338S pic.twitter.com/HucUluN3TW

Brooks Custom
Mount Kisco
Newer homes might get a kick out of Brooks Custom. Not only do they craft original countertops and ranges in a variety of materials, but their wooden furniture adds a rustic and even asymmetric elements to the industrial vibe more common in modern architecture.
Chatsworth Antiques & Consignments
Mamaroneck
A 5,000 sq. ft. warehouse on Ogden Ave., Chatsworth both buys and sells antique and mid-century furniture, as well as art, collectibles, and other décor. They even have their own eBay store, meaning you can shop for a new couch right from your old one!
Country Willow
Bedford Hills
With a motto like “Furniture for Life,” you’d hope Country Willow would make this list. Actually, we really don’t need to convince you. Westchester Magazine readers have voted this massive 35,000 show space a Best of Westchester winner twelve years straight! Their custom designs and broad variety of styles mean you’re likely to find whatever you’re looking for, even if they have to make it themselves.
Current Home
Scarsdale
Another BOW winner, Current Home has wide selection of furniture and furnishings that skews toward the modern and eclectic. Think lots of metal and monochrome with bright splashes of color! This is a definite go-to for anyone who’s feeling antiqued-out.
Fofie & Mia’s
Larchmont
Owned by two sisters, the aptly named Fofie & Mia’s is all about personality and connection. Vintage and handmade are the overall feel, and on-site craftsman Rafael is there to help make your home the cozy, inviting place you want it to be.
Luteca Furniture
Dobbs Ferry
This NYC furniture company is one of many trendy Manhattan businesses to make the move up to Westchester. Designs skew toward the contemporary/modernist, and prominently feature Mexican and Latin American design influences.
Michael Christopher Antiques
Tarrytown
One of the small shops on our list, Michael Christopher’s isn’t small on what it delivers. The little Main Street storefront sells antiques, but its services also include furniture restoration, rewiring, redesigning, polishing, and touch-ups, meaning you can save a few bucks by breathing new life into your old furnishings!
Nest Inspired Home
Rye
“Nest”-led on Purchase Street, this is a 3,000 sq. ft. showroom aimed at locals looking to custom design their furnishings to better reflect their personalities. They’ve also been Best of Westchester and Westchester Home favorites multiple times throughout their seven-plus years in business, so not only do you know we love them, we know that you love them!
NYCitySlab
Yonkers
Custom-designed counters and furniture made from reclaimed materials by a local businessman with his own (again local) lumberyard? Sign us up! Robert Rising started up NYCitySlab after building his own home out of local wood, and more than a decade later he was just honored at 914INC.’s 2018 Small Business Awards as an Outstanding Minority-Owned Business.
York Antiques
Rye
Open for more than 35 years, this quaint little shop is now located on Purchase Street in Rye, and is an excellent go-to for fine art as well as antique furniture and bric-a-brac. They also take consignments and buy both single pieces and estates, and will even conduct appraisals for you if you’re trying to figure out whether that weird lamp Aunt Florence sent you is actually worth anything. You can even shop their collection via their eBay shop!
