New Rochelle’s latest skyscraper is full of plush amenities for residents, including a rooftop pool, a coworking lounge, and more.

The reinvention of New Rochelle — once again reminding everyone why it is called “The Queen City on the Sound” — is well underway, with commercial and residential buildings peppering the city’s downtown. One of those high-rises piercing the sky is Stella, a 28-floor mixed-use development with a sleek design that can be seen from I-95.

With 380 units ranging from studios to two bedrooms, the elegant residences feature floor-to-ceiling windows, solar window shades, wide-plank flooring, and in-unit washer/dryers, all secured with smart door locks. Select apartments offer balconies or terraces, giving residents panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline and Long Island Sound. Splashed in the crossroads of downtown, Stella is located within walking distance from both the Metro-North train station and bus hub.

“The building is stunning no matter which way you turn,” says Lucy Hudson, director of leasing. “Not a single flourish or finish was left out.”

Designed by the architectural firm Beyer Blinder Belle, Stella offers curated amenities for modern-day needs. Residents are privy to lush, sky-high swimming, thanks to a rooftop pool on the 26th floor sporting lounge chairs and lockers; a rooftop deck with barbecue grills; a fitness center with two private studios; and a fifth-floor terrace and lounging space, with a pet run and spa.

For residents who work remotely but need to be outside of their four walls, Stella offers a coworking lounge on the fifth floor, with 24-hour access. Residents of Stella are offered the same level of opulence inside their units, which include stunning kitchens with smoked-oak-and-white high-gloss cabinets, Calacatta gold quartz countertops, and recessed lighting. All units include a stainless-steel Beko appliance package, with a five-burner gas range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. Bathrooms have natural-oak vanity cabinets with designer solid-stone countertops, honed-porcelain floor tiles, and full-height honed-porcelain wall tiles. Bathrooms come outfitted with high-end Pelham & White fixtures as well as an integrated medicine cabinet. Stella is built to the Enterprise Green Communities efficiency standard, including Energy Star appliances, Zero-VOC interior paints, LED light fixtures and water-conserving plumbing fixtures.

The luxe living extends to the ground floor, which boasts a 24-hour attended lobby, package concierge, and package room with cold storage. New York City-based Joe Coffee has opened its first Westchester café in Stella’s ground-floor lobby, beckoning passersby to pop in for a cup.

Gross monthly rents for the 285 market-rate residences start around $2,450 per month for studios, around $2,825 per month for one-beds, and roughly $4,250 per month for two-beds. Stella is currently offering incentives of up to three months’ free rent, depending on the length of contract signed.
