Friends and families congregate for brunch at the Kittle House, a Westchester mainstay, throughout the holiday season, wearing their Sunday best and enthusiastically catching up on old times. It’s the quintessential meeting place at Christmastime. It feels homey and comfortable but the food, drinks and service never disappoint.

It’s an old school Italian eatery that goes all out for Christmas! For ten days before the holiday (December 15-24), dinner guests are treated to old fashioned, dressed-up Christmas Carolers outside the restaurant. Inside, every square inch is adorned with trees, wreaths, lights and animated holiday figurines in all shapes and sizes. It’s a must see for Christmas lovers.

If Fortina was human, she would be loud, fun, and she wouldn’t take herself too seriously. And so it is with the Christmas decorations at this local Italian favorite. The exterior is adorned with mostly plastic, gaudy, put-a-smile-on-your-face Santa’s in all shapes and sizes. In a season where many of us are overwhelmed with achieving the perfect aesthetic, Fortina is here to remind us that at the end of the day, good friends and good food are all that matters.
