Support Westchester County restaurants by eating local (from the comfort of home) during a week of takeout specials.
If you’ve been thinking about taking a break from kitchen duty, heed our advice: Strike while the iron is hot. The first-ever Yonkers Downtown Takeout Week is in full swing (until February 6), and 11 area restaurants are offering special and affordable dining packages for takeout only.
Yonkers Downtown/Waterfront Business Improvement District Executive Director Sara Brody says this is an effort to drum up business for struggling eateries and their employees “with COVID cases still on the rise and with the goal of supporting our local restaurants and keeping patrons safe.”
For $20 for two people and $40 for a family of four, enjoy classic Italian, pizza, pub fare, and a variety of ethnic offerings from the likes of Zuppa, Dolphin, Francey Brady’s, Dos Marias, Guapo Cocina Mexicana, X2O, and the new Metate.
“Purchasing takeout from these restaurants is a perfect way to do your part for the community, and you get a tasty night in out of the deal, too,” says Brody.
Be sure to mention Yonkers Downtown Takeout Week when ordering by phone only (no apps). For the full list of offerings available through February 6 only, visit Yonkers Downtown. Bon appetit!
