Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and the hunt for the perfect gift is on. Best paired with peace and quiet, the premier present for Mom will always be her favorite bottle of wine. It’s easy, simple, and with high reward.
To help pick the right bottle for Mom, we asked the experts over at Harrison Wine Vault, a sponsor and wine partner of our annual Wine & Food Festival this coming June, to help us narrow down the best bottles for any occasion.
Light straw in color with aromas of green apple, soft and pleasant with a long lingering finish. A perfect way to celebrate mom on her special day. Pair it with this minimalist wine chiller from our thoughtfully curated Mother’s Day gift guide.
From the highest altitude vineyards in Aix-en- Provence comes this delicious rose blended from 25% Grenache, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Rolle, 10% Syrah, 10% Cinsault & 5% Grenache Blanc. All the vines have an average age of 30 years. Made in the Direct Press method, this rose is light salmon in color, complex with flavors of white peaches, a touch of citrus and white flowers.
Intense ruby in color with garnet highlights, delicate floral aromas with hints of berry fruits & spice, on the palate the wine is dry with good tannins. This wine is 100% Nebbiolo and the grapes come from within the Barolo production zone. It could be labeled as Barolo but Scarzello declassifies it because he feels it is not up to his high standards for Barolo. An incredible value and an extremely versatile wine. Let it breath for awhile and the wine will reward you with beautiful flavors.
Made from 100% Pinot Noir through the Maceration method where the skins stay in contact with the juice from 48 to 72 hours resulting in a wine of great color and aromatic richness. One of the few Rose champagnes made in this method, Laurent-Perrier Cuvee Rose is elegant and fresh with delicate flavors of raspberry and strawberry. A wine surely to put a smile on Mom’s face.
