Presenting Our New Wine & Food Event: Taste & Style at Savor Westchester

2017 has brought us a number of new things. To name a few: a new president, a few new Earth-like planets, a new season of Twin Peaks, and most importantly, a new Westchester Magazine Wine & Food Festival experience. With the opening of The Westchester’s (here’s another one) new food court, we’ll be showcasing some of the restaurants and businesses that will be calling our local Simon outlet home this year.

Knowing there will be food, cocktails, massages, makeovers, and a fashion show, you can expect a pretty fun time. But to give you a small peek into the upcoming festivities, we chatted with a handful of the participants to see what they are looking forward to the most.

 

What will you be serving that Wednesday evening?

Bluestone Lane: For the evening we will be providing our specialty coffee, but also lattes from our wellness beverage menu: our Golden Latte, Beet Latte, and Matcha Latte.

The DessertistWe will be bringing our brand-new line of edible cookie dough cones, as well as a variety of our famous cake shooters. But, you never know with The Dessertist is going to show up with; all I can tell you is that will be amazing and delicious. 

Mighty Quinn’s Barbecue: We’ll be serving up samples of our burnt ends, which are the caramelized ends of our brisket, smoked for up to 22 hours and then simmered in our house-made barbecue sauce. It’s the perfect mix of smoky with a hint of acid and sweetness.

What about this new event are you most anticipating?

Tomato & Co.: It’s the perfect opportunity to introduce ourselves to the Westchester community.  We are thrilled to be a part of Savor at the Westchester where you have a nice variety of artisanal purveyors in a beautiful, uniquely-designed space. 

The Dessertist: Fashion is such an exciting form of art and I think combining the element of food with fashion is perfection. I create signature dessert lines, much like a designer creates a signature fashion line, so everything meshes well together. 

I am so excited with the group of chefs and businesses I will get to work with at this event. I’ve been fortunate to work with most of them before so I know this event is going to be a huge pallet pleaser and everyone will bring their A-game to the table.  

Bluestone Lane: The Savor development at Westchester is terrific; the brands coming into the area are premium, too. This festival is a great opportunity to provide a neighborly welcome to our locals.

Mighty Quinn’s Barbecue: We’re looking forward to the crowds who have never experienced our food to try one of our most popular options, and we look forward to sampling all of the other great dishes.

How are you feeling about opening a new location in The Westchester? Is anticipation high amongst your fans?

Bluestone Lane: We have an active Westchester following, so our decision to create a Bluestone Lane there had an enthusiastic reception. This is definitely the place to be. 

Mighty Quinn’s Barbecue: We’ve been getting requests from our fans in the area for the past few years so we’re glad we could make this happen. Being able to bring great food closer to home is hopefully going to be a huge plus for all of the meat lovers in Westchester.
