After-work cocktails—what’s better after a long day at the office? And, when the weather is steamy, there’s nothing more welcome then a frosty, thirst-quenching, stress-relieving, frozen cocktail shared with friends and colleagues. Here are some of our faves.

The Blushing Slush

There’s no better way to cool down from a summer heatwave than with a refreshing frosé. The Parlor in Dobbs Ferry has perfected the classic cocktail with a blend of frozen rosé and fresh strawberry purée. The Blushing Slush is a fun drink for a fun place as The Parlor provides lively music and energetic vibes that can be your escape from the summer sun while marveling at wall art made possible through contributions from local artists. And, before you go, don’t forget to try one of the unique pizza flavors, such as That Everything Bagel Pizza or the Queen Margherita.

The Purple Rain

Stay safe from the summer heatwave by checking out the home of “Worldly Whiskey, Crafty Cocktails, and Bold Beer” in Peekskill at Whiskey River Restaurant. You’ll especially want to try the newest signature drink for the season, the Purple Rain. Made with fresh lemon, herbed simple syrup, prosecco, and an appropriately violet float of Empress gin, this vibrant cocktail gives the distinct visual impression of, well, purple raining down inside your glass, and is sure to make even the hottest of summer days feel a little bit cooler.

Gin-Ger Fizz

Salty & Spiked

You can enjoy the Summer Wind while listening to live music every Thursday night from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. and, if you’re looking for a bit of a kick, feel free to also try the “Ready, Aim, Fire” cocktail made with 21 Seeds jalapeño-infused tequila, pineapple, lime, ginger beer, and smoked sea salt.
