Long Drink

Buy it at: Westchester Wine Warehouse, White Plains

This gin cocktail was founded in Finland where “long drink” refers to a mixed drink made with gin. Back in 1952, there were concerns on how to serve customers their drinks fast enough, until the government authorized the creation of the beverage now known as long drink. The refreshing citrus beverage soon made its way into America and onto shelves here in Westchester County. Actor Miles Teller was so fond of the drink when he first tried it in Manhattan that he now has part ownership in the company. The flavors include Traditional (5.5% ABV), Zero with zero sugar and carbs (5% ABV), Strong (8.5% ABV), and Cranberry (5.5% ABV).
