Crisp. Refreshing. Elegant. That’s what you want to taste when you sip on the ideal summertime wine. Just in time for our much-anticipated Wine & Food Festival, Rhode Island’s Gooseneck Vineyards, our wine partner for Wednesday night’s Taste & Style at Savor Westchester event, is giving us a lowdown on the pours we should be looking out for.
Gooseneck Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc is a juicy, true New Zealand style sauvignon blanc, set apart from the surrounded competitors by its elegance and multidimensional layers. Tantalizing banana and passion fruit aromas encapsulate the bouquet. Vivacious juicy stone fruits, fused with bursting notes of pink grapefruit on the pallet, bring a finish of dry elegance of sophistication.
Complements: Gooseneck Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc is always sensational with fresh seafood and kale salads on summery days.
Gooseneck Vineyards’ Prosecco gracefully opens with a beautiful straw color coupled with a nose of fresh citrus and whispers of tender apricot. Bubbles tickle gracefully, as prominent notes of pink grapefruit are followed by flutters of green apple. The finish is as relaxing as its label suggests: crisp, refreshing and stylish.
Complements: This perfectly balanced prosecco tastes best as an aperitif with friends. Also pairs well with salty foods, seafood, poultry, salads, mild cheeses, and delicate fruit dishes.

Gooseneck Vineyards’ Rosé displays an elegant sandy pink color. The nose is of fresh cut roses, as the mouth-feel rushes in with flavors of delicate blackberries and boysenberries. Finishes with clean acidity and hints of aromatic herbs.
Complements: This perfectly balanced rosé is an ideal marriage with appetizers, delicate pasta courses, baked or roasted fish, steamers and raw shellfish: littlenecks, oysters, and shrimp. More so, it is recommended for those moments shared on a picnic blanket, patio, or a beach chair.
