This Westchester Wine Experience With Kevin Zraly Will Wow You

Westchester’s Wine & Food Festival kicks off with a guided wine tasting by local author and educator Kevin Zraly.

Prepare for an appetizing and educational experience during our Perfect Pairings of Wine & Food with Kevin Zraly, one of the signature events during Westchester magazine’s Wine & Food Festival. On Tuesday, June 3, wine expert Zraly will lead a fine wine and unforgettable dining experience featuring the creative cuisine of The Briarcliff Manor.

Zraly’s name may sound familiar, and for good reason. Between 1976 and 2001, the Hudson Valley resident held the position of wine director for the illustrious Windows on the World Restaurant atop the World Trade Center. To date, the renowned author and educator has sold more than three million copies of his written guide, titled Windows on the World Complete Wine Course.

Surely everyone appreciates a sip of pinot noir, but what is a Westchester Wine & Food Festival without any food? Enjoy passed canapes like shrimp ceviche on tostado with lime pearls, grass-fed baby lamb chops with chimichurri sauce, and more. The restaurant and venue are sure to provide an unforgettable ambiance, offering views of a classic manor estate of the late 1800s.

Located in the historic town of Briarcliff Manor, the estate has hosted extravagant wedding and events for over 50 years. It has been renovated recently to become a full-service venue, merging old-world charm with timeless elegance under the new leadership of the DiNapoli family. This restaurant is the ideal location for an elevated wine tasting evening with exceptional service.

Chef Peter Vincent has been an executive chef for 25 years and has been a part of the stunning manor since 2015. Guests can expect a roasted halibut, stuffed chicken with mushroom risotto, and more dishes at this pairing event.

At Perfect Pairings, guests have the opportunity to taste exquisite wines and gain expert wine knowledge. The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. on June 3. Individual tickets are $155, including dinner, with a $1,500 table option for groups of 10. Stay for the full event and leave with a deeper appreciation for and knowledge of wine.
