Travel Channel’s ‘Man v. Food’ Visits Westchester

Host Casey Webb tries a burger, a sandwich, and a hot dog challenge you won’t want to miss.

Any avid foodies probably know of the show Man v. Food that airs on the Travel Channel. The original food reality series was hosted by food enthusiast Adam Richman from 2008 to 2012, but has now been revived with new host Casey Webb. With a love of food and years of experience in the restaurant business, he travels the country in search of America’s most delicious dishes and ultimate food challenges. Good news, Westchester is his next stop!

Airing at Monday, August 21, at 9 p.m. on the Travel Channel, Webb will hit three local restaurants in the Westchester Area: The Oath in Tarrytown, J.P. Doyle in Sleepy Hollow, and Dobbs Dawg House in Dobbs Ferry.

At J.P. Doyle’s, Webb takes on the Horseman Burger which is a 10-ounce burger with lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo, and a mound of house-made chili between a brioche bun.

Next, Webb sampled some chicken and waffles at The Oath with the Griswold Sandwich. This dish is made of fried chicken marinated in a buffalo beer sauce, bacon, and a poutine (fries, cheese curds, and gravy) topped with sriracha maple syrup with a pair of Belgian waffles to hold it all together.

Last, but certainly not least, is the Dawg House Challenge at Dobbs Dawg House. The rules are simple: roll the dice to determine the column you must eat; eat the entire column which is 12 in total; all dawgs must be eaten in the order listed on the menu; no modifications can be made to them; all dawgs must be finished entirely in 30 minutes. Only three men have finished the challenges, getting their faces on the Wall of Fame.

Rob Dubilier, one of the three owners of Dobbs Dawg House, was happy to have Webb and the whole Man v. Food team at the establishment.

“Casey and the Man v. Food team were amazing,” says Dubilier. “You almost didn’t know they were there, even though they had a crew of about 12 people. Casey has an amazing personality and is probably one of the most down to earth people you could ever have the pleasure of meeting.”

Will Webb join the others on the Dawg House Challenge Wall of Fame? Will he enjoy the Horseman Burger and the Griswold Sandwich? We won’t give away any spoilers; you’ll just have to watch to find out. Tune into the Travel Channel tonight for Man v. Food at 9 p.m. on the Travel Channel.
