We’ve been big fans of Alexa Esposito’s The Poppery since we discovered her clever, fanciful, and always gorgeous single-serving desserts on Instagram. Now, just in time for the fall and winter holidays, Esposito has opened her own storefront in Mount Kisco for all your window shopping desires.
“What I was looking for was very specific,” she says. “I was searching for a small space that was also zoned for food. It was near impossible.” Ultimately, on the way to see a completely different spot with her real estate agent, Esposito caught a glimpse of a “For Sale” sign in the window of a little 900 square-foot shop on North Bedford Rd.
“Being from Yorktown I felt Mount kisco was the perfect location! From 684, taconic and sawmill I felt it was easily accessible for all surrounding towns to get too!” says Esposito.
“Being that I make every cake pop myself, my weekends were booking up weeks in advance. Having a brick-and-mortar will allow me to expand & hire a team.” Esposito says her shop also offers an assortment of fun flavored cake pops for purchase Thursday through Saturday, handy for those last-minute ‘Oh no, what should we bring?’ moments.
Custom orders are available for pick up Tuesday through Saturday and require two weeks’ notice. Extended hours will also be instituted around the holidays, along with pre-order and grab-and-go options for holidays.
