Head to these local spots to make the beloved, kid-friendly side dish a major part of your life for National Tater Day (or any day).
For many of us, tater tots evoke a sense of nostalgia. Yet these crispy nuggets of fried goodness are growing in popularity and have become the “it” side dish (sometimes the main) at restaurants across Westchester. And, like fries, they are pretty versatile, too. From “tot-chos” (see what we did there?) topped with cheese and jalapenos to bacon- and cheddar-stuffed tots, here are a handful of fabulously fried nuggets of comfort food joy in the county. And, since National Tater Day is March 31, why not celebrate with our favorite version of the humble potato by gobbling up some of these tatertastic tots?

Pete’s Saloon
8 West Main St, Elmsford; 914.592.9849
Unlike some of the other tater dishes that are covered in a blanket of cheese, these jumbo totchos (yes, that means tater tot nachos) are drizzled with ranch dressing. But this Elmsford saloon really ups the ante by stuffing them with bacon and cheddar cheese, instead of placing these tasty items on top. Say when.
