City Limits Diner (200 Central Ave, White Plains 914-686-9000; www.citylimitsdiner.com), known for its in-house preparations of everything from soups to baked goods, will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Thursday, May 8, with a 1994 menu (and 1994 pricing!). Opening across from Iona College is the new create-your-own stir-fry restaurant Stirlicious (712 North Ave, New Rochelle no phone as of presstime; www.stirlicious.com). Via an assembly-line ordering process, diners choose from different proteins; vegetables; sauces (e.g., kale walnut pesto); and sides (e.g., quinoa, rice noodles) to construct a unique stir-fry dish. The gluten-free, dairy-free menu is also SPE Certified—essentially a restaurant certification program that considers ingredients, preparation, and kitchen practices, as well as strategic food groupings to maximize nutritional benefit
Coming next month in the space where Route 22 Restaurant and Bar was is Zero Otto Nove (55 Old Rte 22, Armonk 914-765-0022; www.roberto089.com), a wood-fired pizzeria and fresh pasta eatery. On the menu: approximately 15 specialty pizzas; rigatoni with butternut squash, peas, and porcini; and seafood risotto. A wine cellar will offer bottles from most every region in Italy. Owner and Yonkers resident Roberto Paciullo also has a Zero Otto Nove in Manhattan and on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, plus the celebrated Roberto’s (also on Arthur Avenue) S The Willett House, the Port Chester steakhouse open since April 1990, has closed.
