May 10, 7-9 p.m.
Instructional chef Kate Sonders Solomon and wine and spirits expert Francine Kowalsky will be hosting a spring food and beverage workshop in Dobbs Ferry on May 10. Chef Kate Sonders Solomon will be leading a hands-on demonstration on creating creamy asparagus soup shooters, honey lavender pots de crème, and much more. Rye Town Park, Rye
May 14, 2-6 p.m.
Enjoy over 100 different craft beers from more than 50 breweries at the Suds on the Sound Craft Beer Festival on May 14. Suds on the Sound is a celebration of craft breweries from all over the country that are enjoyed in Westchester on the Long Island Sound. Some participating breweries include Captain Lawrence Brewing Co, Newburgh Brewing Co, Wolf & Warrior Brewing Co, Hudson North Cider, and much more. For tickets and more information, click here.
Lewisboro Town Park, South Salem
May 20, 5-8 p.m.
The Lewisboro Playground Improvement Project hosts its monthly Food Truck Friday. There will be a plethora of local food trucks, as well as an evening filled with music. Tickets are free for this, but donations are highly suggested. Please register by clicking here.
Scotts Corners Central Business District, Pound Ridge
May 2, 5-9 p.m.
Kicking off in May and running monthly clear through September, the Pound Ridge Partnership’s Food Truck Fridays and More is one of the finest fests on four wheels. With over a half a dozen food trucks confirmed so far at each event, both in savory and sweet, these Food Truck Fridays will have you wanting to come back for more. There will also be live music performances and games for children.
Come on, how could we not say it? Finishing out the spring and kicking off summer, Westchester Magazine’s Wine & Food Festival is six days of non-stop decadence. This year we kick things off with a Wine Experience with Kevin Zraly, followed by a dinner hosted by Gigante Restaurant & Bar. Tickets are $95 (Wine Experience) and $150 (Wine Experience & Dinner).
Wednesday brings us Party on the Pier at Playland in Rye. Guests will enjoy a fun-filled evening on the Playland boardwalk overlooking the beautiful Long Island Sound while enjoying samples of summer favorites from local restaurants and food trucks plus beer, wine, cocktails, and music. The highlight of the night will be our Fourth Annual Bartender Shake-Off, featuring Westchester’s top bartenders competing for Best Bartender honors. Tickets are $60.
Thursday ramps things up with our hotly anticipated Burger & Beer Blast, with more than two-dozen local restaurants squaring off to see who has Westchester’s favorite burger. Food trucks, local businesses, and plenty of libations and entertainment are also on the docket, as per usual. Tickets are $75.
Everything culminates on Saturday with our Grand Tasting Village, where more than 40 local restaurants and food trucks will serve up their best bites alongside around 20 wine and spirits brands, plus another 20 select wines and exclusive catering at our VIP Connoisseurs Tent. Tickets are $85 or $125 (Party Line Connoisseurs Tents).
