Spring weather equals a thirst for suds. Luckily, the plethora of breweries throughout the county equals a solid list of brews to try while the sun is shinning. Be sure to sip on these refreshing beers if you’re in search for a citrusy, creamy, or earthy flavor.

If you’re looking for a light, crushable beer, look no further than the one with “crusher” in its name. Orange Crusher is a crispy orange-flavored lager with a 4.2% ABV and enlivening citrusy taste. This Port Chester brewing company is reintroducing its first-launched beer with a little twist. The Fuque de French 2.0 is a farmhouse saison with a 6.9% ABV. The beer is brewed with pilsner malt, flaked wheat, carapils, and Vienna malt. The brewery used traditional ingredients of orange peel, whole coriander, grains of paradise, black peppercorns, Belgian candy, and strawberries. This is the ideal brew if you’re searching for earthy, floral, and bright flavors.

Sing Sing Kill Brewery and Taproom

Sing Sing Brewery and the Westchester Mushroom Company have collaborated to create the Oyster Mushroom Saison. The Westchester Mushroom Co. provided three cases of its locally grown oyster mushrooms to the Ossining brewery. Sing Sing Brewery worked its magic and added the mushrooms to its super-sessionable saison. Beer and mushroom connoisseurs can enjoy a clean, citrusy saison with just a hint of oyster character.
