Scope Out David DiBari’s New British Gastropub

The former Cedar Street Grill space is now The Rare Bit — and we couldn’t be more excited.

If there’s one cuisine that’s plentiful in Westchester, it’s Italian — and David DiBari knows it. As chef/owner of The Cookery and The Parlor in Dobbs Ferry (and DoughNation pizza truck) his restaurants are among the county’s best when it comes to modern takes on nonna nostalgia.

With his latest venture, The Rare Bit, a British gastropub in the space that was previously Cedar Street Grill in Dobbs Ferry, DiBari isn’t relying on his Italian roots.

“I’ve always been a fan of [British] cuisine, and last year I took a trip to England to start gathering inspiration,” he explains. “It’s exciting because there’s nothing like it around here.” Check out some Instagram snaps from the restaurant below (and keep an eye out for his modern diner, Eugene’s, opening in Port Chester in early 2019.)
