From an Italian steakhouse to a tapas and wine bar, these are the Westchester eateries to look out for in the new year.

You know what they say: new year, new restaurants. At least, that’s true in Westchester County. In 2023, there are quite a few exciting additions to look forward to in the 914. The establishments are being brought to life by renowned chefs, serving up local ingredients, and offering options for a wide range of palates. The only question left is…where will you dine first?

Red Horse

121 Main St. White Plains

Celebrity chef David Burke is expected to open his American steakhouse with Asian accents this month at The Opus, Westchester. Red Horse will be Chef Burke’s third enterprise in the Hudson Valley and his ninth since the beginning of the pandemic. This eatery marks the acclaimed chef’s expansion of his brand Red Horse, as this is his second steakhouse under the name (the other located in Rumson, NJ). The restaurant is now taking reservations!

Tipsy Taco Bar

Scarsdale

Tipsy Taco Bar’s original location opened its doors in July of 2019. After years of working to put its name on the map, the restaurant is officially opening a sister location to its Mount Kisco hotspot this year. For those who don’t know, Tipsy’s authentic Mexican cuisine is inspired by Mexican markets and passed-down family recipes. Each dish is made from scratch, so you know the ingredients are fresh. The Taco Bar is also the perfect spot for some taco Tuesday action.

One Rare Italian Steakhouse

16 E Parkway, Scarsdale

The second steakhouse to hit Westchester in 2023 is One Rare Italian Steakhouse. The restaurant will be the newest edition to NYC’s Ben and Jack’s Steakhouse family. Stay on the lookout for an opening date!

Buleria Tapas & Wine Bar

106 Main St, Tuckahoe

Buleria sports a brunch and dinner menu as well as an extensive cocktail and wine collection. This is a restaurant that’ll be sure to bring a feast of flavors and celebration of Spanish culture to the table with every meal. The dishes are market-driven and inspired by Sevilla, Spain. From just skimming the tapas menu, our eyes are landing on the patatas bravas, vieras with seared sea scallops, roasted mushrooms, and smoked pimento. If you’re searching for a larger dish, the paella for two is a phenomenal choice. The restaurant is holding a soft opening on January 12.

La Bastide & Cenadou

North Salem

The husband-and-wife-duo Andrea Calstier and Elena Oliver are bringing their culinary talents to North Salem. The duo will be opening two new French restaurants side by side in Westchester. The first is an upscale space and the other will invite a more relaxed atmosphere. La Bastide’s fine dining dishes will include seasonal ingredients, while Cenadou will serve up bistro vibes.

Westchester Meat Market

Eastchester

Who doesn’t love a good meat market? The team at Westchester Meat Market is preparing to serve up the highest quality meats and imported goods to the community.
