Where to Take Mom for a Mother’s Day Meal in Westchester

If you want to make Mother’s Day extra-special, but you’re not looking for the extra work, let these Westchester restaurants take care of it.

Mother’s Day is a time to show mom how much she means to you. Some of Westchester’s favorite restaurants are making sure you can celebrate mom with amazing menus and festive family dining deals.

Apropos

Choose three courses ($70pp) from a locally sourced menu with farm products from Norwich Meadows, Eckerton Hill, Hepworth, and Hudson River Fruit. Start your meal off with a choice of spring green salad, baby kale salad, arugula and strawberry salad, or dill gravlax. Entrées include seared branzino, fried chicken and waffles, grilled NY strip and eggs, and other options. Finish off the meal with moscato panna cotta, grapefruit brulée, or a chocolate lava cake. The restaurant is open on Mother’s Day from noon to 7 p.m. Reservations recommended.

Benjamin Steakhouse

Treat mom to a well-deserved, hearty, three-course meal under the glorious outdoor tent with skylight or indoors in the sophisticated and stylish dining room where first course choices range from classic Caesar salad to jumbo shrimp cocktail, jumbo lump crab cake with red pepper coulis, or lobster bisque laced with brandy and cream. Then it’s onto the main course where filet mignon is the highlight, with the rack of lamb and Norwegian salmon just as tempting. Traditional steakhouse sides complement the meal, including signature Benjamin home fries, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and more. For dessert, choose from New York cheesecake, carrot cake, or chocolate mousse cake, along with coffee and tea service. ($109 pp; noon to 10 p.m.)

Chutney Masala

Treat your mother like a queen with a feast of classic Indian dishes like chicken tikka masala, goan shrimp curry, lamb bhuna, and much more. The buffet brunch is open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. ($29.95 pp). Kids under 12 eat at half price. Moms also get a complimentary mimosa!

Dubrovnik Restaurant

Expect a special Mother’s Day menu (11 a.m. to close) with new seafood and raw bar options, including grilled calamari, seared dry sea scallops, a Dalmatian platter, and Dubrovnik signature salad. For the main course, choices include octopus under ‘the bell,’ soft shell crabs, morski plodovi, spring lamb, and filet mignon. Finish off with your choice of dessert, all on the restaurant’s beautiful outdoor terraces or inside the grand dining space.

Chef Constantine Kalandranis invites you to visit his restaurant on Mother’s Day for a three-course, prix-fixe dinner menu ($65 per person includes your choice of dip, meze, and entrée). Signature dips include creamy fava hummus, slow-melted eggplant and sofrito, and spicy whipped feta. Meze offerings include Greekish salad, fresh shucked local oysters, caramelized cauliflower, and grilled chicken wings. For the entrees, choose from shrimp spanakorizo, sizzling octopus, gyro and fries, and more.

La Casa Bronxville

El Día de la Madre can be extra-special in the beautifully designed restaurant of La Casa. Brunch and lunch (11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.), as well as dinner (4-9 p.m.) will be served and can be enjoyed in the dining room and in individual outdoor cabana spaces. All areas of the restaurant reflect a warm and welcoming coastal Mexican vibe. Expect classic and unique dishes including Tartar de Atun, which is made with four ounces of sushi grade blue fin tuna; Ensalada de Entrada served with delicious add-ons; as well as mom favorites such as crab tostada and salmon a la plancha. Treat mom to restaurant favorite margaritas, including the newly launched hibiscus margarita.

Le Provencal Bistro

Treat mom to great food in a welcoming atmosphere at this Mediterranean French bistro. On Mother’s Day, a prix fixe menu will be offered for $70 per person, from noon to 7:30 p.m. Appetizers include jumbo lump crab cake, wild mushroom soup, French country meatball with creamy polenta, and grilled octopus salad. For the main course, choose from duck confit, sautéed salmon, shrimp sambal, hanger steak, brochettes of lamb, and more. Some dishes are only available until 2 p.m. Finish the meal with divine desserts, including Serge’s banana cake and lemon tart.

L’Inizio

What mom can resist a tasty brunch? This downtown Ardsley spot serves up a specialty brunch menu from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Choose from small plates items such as crispy cauliflower with lemon aioli, bomboloni “Italian donuts,” and avocado toast with crispy shallots. Large plate choices include fluffy pancakes topped with honey-coated berries, a gouda burger with horseradish aioli, octopus with potato and pickled celery, and Emmy’s juicy egg sandwich. Add an adult beverage with choices such as Bloody Mary, Montepulciano, and seasonal mimosas and sangrias.

Pizza & Brew and Public Pizza Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar

These sister spots are offering brunch (11-3 p.m.) and dinner (3 p.m.- close) to celebrate Mom. For Public Pizza, appetizers options are a refreshing watermelon salad, burrata and prosciutto, or tomato bruschetta. Entrees include filet mignon, shrimp mushroom truffle risotto, and citrus flounder. For Pizza & Brew, choose between the cream of asparagus soup or mixed seafood salad to start. Entrees include shrimp risotto, Vermont lamb, half roasted chicken, and pan seared halibut. Wrap everything up with dessert!

Red Horse

Stop by Westchester’s newest steakhouse for a top-of-the-line Mother’s Day brunch. Between 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., you can get a two-course meal for $52. Appetizers include black pepper maple glaze clothesline bacon, crispy shrimp spring rolls, tuna and salmon tartare, among other bites. For entrées, pick between the lobster and caviar ostrich scramble, steak and eggs, roast branzino, or the prime NY strip. The dessert options include a strawberry short cake, chocolate chip peanut butter banana, and bread pudding. The menu will run ala carte at 4 p.m.

Saltaire Oyster Bar and Kitchen

Saltaire will be open for Mother’s Day dining from noon to 8 p.m. Chef Ruben put together a special menu of all-time favorites just for mom. Dinner specials include New Zealand lamb chops with potato pave, lobster Wellington, surf and turf, and a stuffed sole imperial. There’s also a lineup of $16 tasty cocktails including a peach Bellini, Saltaire Kir Royal, blood orange mimosa, and passionfruit mimosa.

Sam’s of Gedney Way

Give mom the perfect treat on Mother’s Day with a beautiful brunch or delicious dinner. Sam’s is offering ala carte brunch and dinner for tables up to eight guests. Another option is to enjoy a brunch buffet package in Hathaway Hall (on the second floor) for tables of nine or more guests. Some dishes to look forward to include stuffed French toast, classic eggs Benedict, herb-roasted Amish chicken, jumbo crab cakes, and so much more.

A flavorful adventure of Thai and Malaysian cuisine will make for a special Mother’s Day. A buffet will be offered from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. ($34.95 pp, kids under 12 eat half off). A variety of delectable dishes will be served, including tofu peanut satay, pork dumplings, green curry shrimp, chili chicken basil, spring rolls, and more. A condiment bar will be on hand to take the flavor to the next level (chili sambal, sweet chili, soya sauce, and spicy sriracha). For dessert, mom can enjoy coconut panna cotta, warm sticky rice, and fresh-cut fruits.
