Starters include brisket burnt ends, pork belly bites, smoked wings, and jalapeño poppers with house-made ranch. Mains include hickory-smoked brisket; dry-rubbed pulled pork and St. Louis ribs, plus several sandwiches.
Italian restaurant Chatterbox Pleasantville (75 Cooley St; 914.495.3900; linktr.ee/chatterboxpleasantville) opened where Mediterraneo was, serving selections such as shrimp scampi, baked chicken cutlet with escarole and beans, wild-caught tuna, lamb chops oreganata, bone-in veal marsala, plus pizzas and pastas.
Yorktown Heights resident Nazareno Daniele, executive chef at La Botte Ristorante (14 Martine Ave, White Plains; 914.461.2950; labotteristorante.com), has introduced new dishes to his menu of mostly Northern Italian fare, including burrata Pugliese with 24-month-aged black label prosciutto di Parma; osso buco Milanese; and free-range chicken martini. Chef Daniele places an importance on quality ingredients, using produce from the White Plains Farmers Market, 100% EVOO, and Caputo 00 pizza flour.
Piermont’s Basque Tapas Bar Restaurant (basquetapasbar.com) planned to have opened by press time a second location in Tarrytown (61 Main St; 914.801.9200) in the space that once housed The Twisted Oak. The menu showcases Spain’s northern region cuisines. Expect Angus-certified meats, wild seafood, and imported Spanish specialties, such as Iberico hams, chorizo, and North Atlantic octopus.
Joe Coffee (joecoffeecompany.com), a specialty café with 21 locations in New York City, is coming to the county, opening in the 28-story, mixed-use residential tower Stella (10 Le Count Pl, New Rochelle).
