The Post Road Brew House, offering a host of local craft beers, local wines, and craft beers from the school’s own brewery (Brooklyn Brewery is a partner), has reopened after a run that lasted February through June. In this second iteration, there is a new menu of pub-inspired fare, and the Brew House is keeping things fresh for the fall season.
With The Apple Pie Bakery closed for renovations, the Post Road Brew House has taken on its responsibilities and resources, allowing it to turn out some truly delectable foods.
On the new menu, you’ll find things like hearty poutine, fois gras-crowned burgers, golden fried chicken and waffles with sweet and sour tamarind sauce, and ale-battered fish and chips.
You’ll also find creative offerings such as a savory version of a tarte Tatin using avocado, ricotta, grilled peaches, and tomatoes; a crispy slice of sourdough bread spread with apple mustard and topped with a creamy butternut squash-ricotta mash and and caramelized apple.
Chef Melissa Walnock has created such end-of-meal sensations as the caramel apple tart (caramel pastry cream, bourbon apples, pecan financier, apple sorbet), and the beer and pretzel sundae (brown sugar cake, stout ice cream, and pretzel praline).
The menu is frequently changing, making it an excellent place for repeat visits. Tour the campus and enjoy a great Hudson Valley-inspired meal.
