What better way to close the doors on our yearly Wine & Food Festival than with a sumptuous brunch harkening back to the 19th Century gourmands of Tammany Hall? 100 guests, seated in Kanopi above White Plains’s The Ritz-Carlton New York, Westchester, experienced a finely crafted four-course menu designed by Chef Anthony Goncalves and host/food writer Nick Solares.
Courses included dry aged sliders, pickled vegetables and dip, and oysters Rockefeller hors d’oeuvres; blue cheese wedge salad with thick-cut bacon; grilled dry aged Barnsley lamp chops, 60-day dry aged Creekston Farms Black Angus beef with hash browns and creamed spinach; and a creamy cheesecake dessert. And of course, in the true spirit of a beefsteak, craft beer, a fine wine selection, and unlimited soft drinks!
