Organic: From Kitchen To Vineyard Series At Vintology Wine & Spirits In Scarsdale

Scarsdale private chef/culinary educator Jennifer Rossano, an International Culinary Arts Center alum who previously worked in the kitchen at Blum Center for Health in Rye Brook, is teaming up with Vintology Wine & Spirits in Scarsdale, for the in-store food and wine event Taste of Autumn on October 24 at 7:30 pm.

Chef Jennifer Rossano begins her cooking demo (above, left); Vintology Manager Elizabeth Miller (above, right, in black) and Rossano met in 2012 at the store and began an organic food and wine tasting series shortly thereafter.

This is the fifth installment of the wine store’s Organic: From Kitchen to Vineyard series; the evening includes a chef cooking demo, a four-course meal paired with organic wines, plus conversation about the evolving landscape of sustainable and organic food and winemaking.

Fall harvest salad in a hazelnut-shallot vinaigrette and truffle-scented cauliflower soup—two dishes served at the previous Vintology tasting event.

A plum tart with vanilla bean gelato was served at the previous Vintology tasting event.

On the menu: crostini (white bean, roasted garlic/sage/maple-glazed squash, caramelized onion/fresh ricotta); fennel, pear, and arugula salad dressed in a warm walnut-shallot vinaigrette; herb-crusted salmon with celery root and rutabaga mash; braised chicken thighs and spicy wilted greens; and for dessert maple-bourbon baked apples.

Tickets are $85 plus tax. Reserve a spot at info@vintology.com or (914) 723-2040. CURRENTLY WAITLIST ONLY
