You could hunker in a crumb-strewn Slanket and toast the New Year from the couch, or you can flick the mothballs off your glad rags and paint the town royally red. With that dilemma in mind, we’ve collected some great events to lure you out of your house-bound shame cycle.
Bronx Flavor’s and BRONXNET‘s World Premier Screening (And Preposterous Holiday Extravaganza) with Baron Ambrosia at the Paradise Theater
December 30, 7pm – 11pm
$8 donation at door; cash bar
Check out the Baron as he drops the new season of Bronx Flavor, the cool, cult food show that earned His Purpleness paeans in the New York Times and Saveur. Celeb guests are slated, with beats by iconic, birth-of-rap Bronx DJs – and if a cash bar isn’t enough to do it, then the ornate Paradise Theater on the Grand Concourse might get you dancing.
