Gyro Spiced Slider at MP Taverna. I’d been in the midst of writing a large burger feature, and, folks, let me tell you, I ate a lot of burgers. This one stood out, and not just because it was small. This loose, drippy patty was perfectly salted and cooked to medium rare, but the killer was its topping of mountain oregano, dreamy tzatziki, and one thin slice of preserved lemon that made each bite beefy, tangy, and tart. Also, I love that the sliders are small enough to leave you wanting just one more bite.
