On Mother’s Day, it’s essential to take the time to enjoy things: the bond you share with Mom, the memories made throughout the years, and most of all, a glass of wine with the most important woman in your life. To help ease the stress of choosing the right bottle, we asked the experts over at Harrison Wine Vault, a sponsor and wine partner of our annual Wine & Food Festival this coming June, to help us pick the perfect pours. Each is incredibly unique, flavorful, and sure to put a smile on Mom’s face this year.

Pomponette Rosé 2017 ($17.99)
With the largest allocation in the world, the Wine Vault highly recommends this customer favorite (and our top-selling) rosé — every year. This Provencal rosé is classic pale pink/salmon in color with aromatics that are bright and clear. The Rolle gives a raciness that keeps you coming back for more! Perfect example of a crisp, Provence rosé. The 2017 vintage is drinking incredibly — and its only May! We can’t wait to watch it open as the Summer comes to fruition.
60% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Vermentino, 15% Cinsault, 5% Mourvedre

Roagna Langhe Rosso 2012 (ON SALE $27.99)
This Langhe Rosso comes from one of the top producers in Piedmont — Roagna, an estate over 100 years old. This wine is a ‘declassified barolo’ but what exactly does that mean? To the consumer, it means a tremendous value. Other producers within Piedmont would choose to label this as a Barolo; it meets all the requirements. Just like a Barolo, this wine is aged in oak for 5 years and its taste can easily be mistaken for a Barbaresco or Barolo. Young, fresh and fruit forward, this absolutely delicious wine is highly recommended for any occasion. An outstanding wine at an outstanding value.

This inviting yet complex wine is rich and polished with a deeply satisfying finish. Pairs well with seafood dishes, hard cheeses or as an aperitif.
