To celebrate its 50th anniversary as the country’s first conference center, Destination Hotels and Resorts’ restaurant Cellar 49 at the Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center is featuring a selection of retro throwback cocktails with a nod to the 1950s and 1960s. These nostalgic drinks, which kicked off this spring, will be featured throughout the rest of the year. They’ll include the classic Martini (Grey Goose vodka, dry vermouth, blue cheese olives), the Biddle Royale (cucumber infused gin, Champagne, mint, simple syrup, cucumber), the Tom Collins (beefeater gin, lemon, sugar, seltzer) and the Rye Manhattan (Tempelton rye, Carpano Antica sweet vermouth, cherry). The throwback theme continues throughout the menu, ending with one dessert that salutes the 1964 World Fair, the Belgian waffle sundae with vanilla gelato, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and toffee.
