Here’s Where to Celebrate National Margarita Day in Westchester

Whether you're celebrating National Margarita Day or simply looking for the perfect weekend sip, you'll love these cocktails.

It’s five o’clock somewhere, but on National Margarita Day (February 22), it’s five o’clock all day! There’s no harm in kicking off the festivities early, so, without further ado, here are a few spots to sip margaritas in Westchester. We love it when the universe comes together.

bartaco

1 Willet Ave, Port Chester; 914.937.8226

Why celebrate the beloved margarita on one day only when you can do so every day for 30 days in a row? Bartaco turns National Margarita Day into a five-week-long celebration, because it’s a marathon — not a sprint. From February 22 through the end of March, this elevated taco joint launches five fresh and exciting margarita-inspired cocktails each week — not shying away from unique ingredients like cherries, watermelon, and carrots.

Donjito

122 Mamaroneck Ave, Mamaroneck; 914.902.5486

The Latin fusion restaurant has plenty of delish drinks on the menu, with more than the fair share being margaritas. The one that pulls ahead of the pack in our eyes is the refreshing pomegranate raspberry margarita. It’s fashioned from fruit-infused tequila for a burst of flavor instead of extra sugars weighing things down. It’s finished with fresh lime juice, a pineapple wedge, and a Tajin rim.

Jack’s Bar & Restaurant

219 Main St, Eastchester; 914.652.7650

There are plenty of celebratory choices at this self-described “Irish pub with flair,” and the spicy blackberry margarita (which boasts a beautiful color pink, might we add) is certainly a standout. Pro tip: Pair it with the mahi mahi fish tacos that come with an addicting salsa verde (just saying).

La Casa Bronxville

7 Pondfield Rd, Bronxville; 914.222.9016

A curated marg menu awaits at this upscale yet relaxed neighborhood gem, but the one with spice goes down real nice! Ask for it by name: The La Casa Spicy Margarita, fashioned from habanero-infused tequila. You can even choose between medium or hot.

LALA Taqueria

150 Larchmont Ave, Larchmont; 914.834.2244

Classic and fruity margaritas are a specialty here, but if a juicy case of indecision strikes, fall back on a flight of tequila or mezcal and thank us later. You can even get a margarita pitcher to go.

Tipsy Taco Bar

487 E Main St, Mount Kisco; 914.218.3460
56 Garth Rd, Scarsdale; 914.574.6242

With tipsy in the title, and Saturday being the big day, it might be worth a stop for a sip and a nosh. Sixty-plus tequilas and mezcals line the shelves, and the taco menu stands at 17-strong.

Truck

391 Old Post Rd, Bedford; 914.234.8900

And now for something completely different: a power wagon margarita! What’s that? It’s a margarita with squeezed lime and orange juice with all-natural triple sec. It pairs perfectly with New Mexican-inspired cuisine that sways seasonal and local. We’ll drink to that!

VEGA

189 E. Hartsdale Ave, Hartsdale; 914.723.0010

The margarita offerings are endless here, where owner Jeevan Pullan has been known to gush: “I love all things Mexican.” That’s abundantly evident in the crave-worthy eats (Don’t miss the birria soup. Yes, soup.) and the rosita, made with chipotle-infused tequila, blackberry, and fresh lime.
