A takeout luncheonette in Dobbs Ferry, a contemporary Japanese restaurant in Scarsdale, and more spice up Westchester’s dining scene this month.

Owner Scott Broccoli of adjacent The Rare Bit has debuted takeout specialist Broccoli’s Luncheonette (23 Cedar St, Dobbs Ferry; 914.693.8000; www.broccolisluncheonette.com). Among the selections on the menu by Rare Bit chef Evan Kalogiannis are signature sandwiches (e.g., chicken scarp with house-made pork sausage, chicken cutlet, and hot peppers; Nashville hot chicken; alligator po’ boy; collard green melt), jambalaya, falafel bowls, and a house-made vegan burger.

In the space that once housed Lange’s of Scarsdale is now Akai Lounge (57 Spencer Pl, Scarsdale; 914.722.2022; www.akaiscarsdale.com), a Japanese restaurant sporting contemporary decor and a menu of both traditional (sashimi, tempura, teriyaki, grilled Chilean sea bass) and non-traditional offerings (tuna guacamole, lobster pizza, renegade rolls).

The first New York State location of Whole Hog Café (2542 Central Ave, Yonkers; 914.713.4924; www.wholehogcafe.com) has opened. This is the 17th restaurant for the Arkansas barbecue chain that offers smoked sausage, beef brisket, pulled pork, chicken, and ribs… Also opening on Central Avenue is Pop’s Taco Shop (2475 Central Ave, Yonkers; 914.920.4424; www.popstaco.com) with salads, burritos, and of course tacos, including a selection called al Americano: chicken and waffle, Philly steak, short rib, sesame chicken, and jerk chicken.

Ardsley’s Michael and Susy Glick, previously owners of The Writing Room on 2nd Avenue in Manhattan, have debuted The Shop Ardsley (711 Saw Mill River Rd, Ardsley; 914.591.4321; www.theshopardsley.com), a bagel shop/deli during the day and a full-service American restaurant at night. On the dinner menu: house-made soups, salads, burgers, rotisserie chicken, and a host of plated entrées, such as red wine-braised short rib, fish ’n’ chips, and herb-crusted Atlantic salmon.

Baby Duke’s Kitchen (37 S Fifth Ave, Mount Vernon; 914.363.3548; www.babydukeskitchen.com), a Cajun-style steak-and-seafood eatery, has opened. Catfish sliders, seafood boils, king crab legs, whole red snapper, and hand-cut steaks are among the offerings.

In the space that once housed The Bakery at Four Corners is Flour Power (4668 Boston Post Rd, Pelham Manor; 914.222.0704; www.flourpowerny.com), a small-batch, artisan bakery by Johnson & Wales culinary alums Miranda Bucciero and Lauren Gibaldi… Sweet-tooths should also be aware of Cookies N’ Cream (10 Park Pl, Bronxville; 914.202.7560; www.cookiesncreambronxville.com), offering daily-baked cookies with inspired flavors, such as Confetti Birthday Explosion, Overstuffed Twix and Snickers, and the Bronxville Crunch (sugar brûlée cookie with chocolate drizzle, cappuccino crunch, and chocolate crunchies). Longford’s ice cream is served too. Ice-cream-cookie sandwich, anyone?
