A Peekskill mainstay is celebrating their 10-year anniversary this weekend in the best way possible: with plenty of brews, food, and music. Hosting a standout event each night from Friday to Sunday, The Peekskill Brewery is bringing their A-game with everything from food trucks, local bands, exclusive craft brew collaborations, and more.
It all starts with Friday’s Grand Tasting Event, where the Brewery’s award-winning head brewer Amit Ram will feature a one-of-a-kind series of collaborations with a host of New York brewers, including Newburgh Brewing Co., Poughkeepsie’s Plan Bee Farm Brewery, Ommegang, and Sloop Brewing Co. A special menu for the night will pair a dish alongside each beer.

Saturday’s event presents an entirely different vibe with an outdoor Block Party on South Water Street from 3 to 11 p.m. Peekskill’s outdoor beauty will come to life as the air fills with the scent of irresistible food truck fare and music from bands like the Grateful Dead bluegrass cover band Deadgrass, The Chris Bullock Band, Flux Capacitor, and Danielle Ponder & The Tomorrow People. With the addition of outdoor activities (we’re talkin’ pumpkin painting, face painting, and a sweet bounce house), this will be a more family-friendly affair with no cover charge.
Finish off the weekend like any stand-up Millennial (you don’t have to be a Millennial to have fun like one!) with the Brewery’s recovery Hangover Brunch on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A slew of specialty cocktails will be your hair of the dog, while Peekskill Brewery’s pop-up coffee roaster, The Pantry, and brunch favorites will send you on your way with a happy belly.
It’s hard to believe Peekskill Brewery has been a local landmark for a full decade, but there’s no doubting it’s impact on the Peekskill nightlife and foodie scene. Don’t hesitate to join in on the fun: a celebration like this is hard to miss.
