You may think that the granola you’re eating is a healthy choice, but how do you know for sure? If the ingredients are hard to comprehend (or pronounce), then you may want to consider Krave the Krunch Grainless Granola, the new product line from Paleo Passion Foods.
Following up on the continued success of their Paleo Passion Pops, the Greenwich-based company began producing Krave the Krunch in May 2016. “We tried to think of a snack or food that is consistently marketed as ‘healthy,’ but really is not all that good for you,” says Kayla Cord, head of marketing for Paleo Passion Foods. “Conventional brands are always filled with highly processed ingredients, as well as refined sugars.” Providing an innovative and truly healthy option in the granola industry, Krave the Krunch contains zero grains/oats and is gluten-free, dairy-free, non-GMO, Kosher Pareve, certified Paleo, and contains no artificial sugars.
“Not only does our granola contain simple, non-processed ingredients, but it tastes incredible too,” says Cord, who has been with the company for more than two years. Krave the Krunch comes in three flavors: Choco-Nuts, Caribbean Coconut, and Maple Cinnamon. The first ingredient in each flavor is walnut, which serves as a great source of omega-3’s. Each bite delivers a soft and chewy morsel of flavor-packed goodness, with hints of nuts, seeds, honey, and maple syrup to add elements of texture and sweetness.
The snacks are sold in 8-oz bags for $7.99 and can be purchased at all of DeCicco’s Westchester locations, as well as Turco’s in Yorktown, Green & Grain Gourmet Food Market in Croton-on-Hudson, Greenwich Produce in South Salem, and Village Natural Market in Bronxville. Krave the Krunch can also be purchased on Amazon and on www.paleopassionfoods.com.
