Foodie Card is a socially conscious restaurant rewards service that partners with over 250 Westchester restaurants.

Since its launch in Westchester last year, Foodie Card has donated 70,000 meals to people in need. The reward service also expanded into Putnam County, Rockland County, Fairfield County, and Northern New Jersey.

For those who don’t know, Foodie Card is a dining subscription service that offers rewards while donating meals to those in need. The service was founded in 2018 and has witnessed a surge in membership over the past few years.

For $29.99 per year, members can choose between a digital card, which is available through Foodie Card’s mobile app, or a physical copy sent in the mail. Members earn 10% off their meals at participating restaurants, including over 250 Westchester-based establishments. With every purchase and renewal of a Foodie Card, a full day’s worth of meals is also donated to those in need.

Users can present the card at local restaurants such as Donjito (Mamaroneck), Sambal (Irvington), Croton Tapsmith and Fratelli’s Trattoria (Croton-on-Hudson), TCBY (Mohegan Lake), IHOP (Hartsdale and Mohegan Lake), and Fortina Pizza (Armonk, Rye Brook, Yonkers, and Stamford, CT), among more than 200 others.

“Foodie Card allows its members to save money while discovering and supporting local restaurants and, all the while, helping feed the hungry in the county they live in,” says CEO Jared Katz.

Members also earn reward points for every dollar saved after uploading an itemized receipt showing proof of discount. Points can then be redeemed for a $15 gift card to retailers such as Amazon, Target, and Walmart.

Foodie Card continues to work with Feeding Westchester, the county’s largest nonprofit hunger relief organization, to provide meals for those in need from proceeds of every membership sold. The organization also works with the local community to support fundraisers, and has collaborated with PTAs, synagogues, churches, and nonprofits.

“We’re so grateful to generous partners like Foodie Card, and the broader local hospitality and restaurant community in Westchester, for their ongoing support, which helps provide our neighbors in need with nutritious food year-round,” says Karen C. Erren, President and CEO of Feeding Westchester.

“Foodie Card promotes local restaurants, assists those in need of food, and provides a great opportunity for consumers to try amazing restaurants in and around their community,” adds Katz.
