Flushing’s Hunan Kitchen of Grand Sichuan Features Lamb with Cumin and Cilantro

Lamb with Cumin and Cilantro at Hunan Kitchen of Grand Sichuan in Flushing, New York. I count myself lucky that my home in Southern Westchester means that a trip to Flushing’s Main Street takes all of 20 minutes. Lately, I’ve been haunting this modest, Chairman Mao-themed spot for this poetic dish in which the slight gaminess of tender, juicy lamb slices is perfectly set off by mouth-numbing Sichuan peppercorns; earthy cumin; and the fresh, herbal snap of cilantro leaves. Once you eat this, you will return to Flushing.
