Take a seat at the shimmering marble bar at The Raconteur Bar in Pleasantville for a sophisticated winter sip with rich, tangy, balanced aromatic notes. Utilizing hearty fig flavors paired with the brightness of pomegranate, this cocktail is enough to keep the cold out (and the color makes such an Instagramable moment). For his latest creation, owner, chef, and mixologist mastermind Michael Boulos played on the popularity of a drink the bar was already serving, the Blackberry Coup. “This takes our standard and bumps it up a couple of notches.” As for the name, the cocktail immediately transported Boulos to a memorable time. “When I first made this and tried it, it immediately brought to mind a ‘sweet kiss goodnight’ from a girl wearing fruity lip gloss—like your first kiss after the prom.” With the perfect froth on top coming from Fee Foam, an egg-free alternative that will give your shaken drinks that creamy first sip, don’t be surprised if the harmonious mingling of sweet and tart triggers love at first sight (for the cocktail, that is).
