A burger bar in Larchmont, a sushi spot in White Plains, a roaming lobster truck, and more make the month delicious in Westchester.
Billy & Pete’s Burger Bar (2118 Boston Post Rd, Larchmont; 347.922.3575) opened in late December in the space that previously housed Carlyn’s Cove. The 55-seat burger joint is the sister restaurant to Billy & Pete’s, also in the village, at 121 Myrtle Blvd. The concept is design-your-own burger with approximately 12 toppings, plus draft beers and cocktails.
A quartet of new restaurants was scheduled to have opened by press time in White Plains: MamaSushi (172 Mamaroneck Ave), the seventh location (first in the county) of the Latin-Asian hybrid, serving traditional sushi rolls and “Latin sushi” cooked dishes; Colombian House (175 Main St), in the space that once housed Sofrito and with an original location in New Rochelle; Qosqo Inca Peruvian American Rotisserie (51 Mamaroneck Ave); and Archie Grand (166A Mamaroneck Ave), a 130-seat Modern American restaurant.

New to the county food-truck scene is New England’s Finest Lobster, serving lobster, fried-clam, and shrimp rolls; grilled cheese, clam chowder, and lobster bisque. Check Instagram or their website for locations, but they can often be found parked at Kohl’s in Cortlandt Manor or St. Mary’s Church in Mohegan Lake.
In the space that once housed Delfino’s, Vesta Kitchen & Bar (60 Halstead Ave, Harrison; 914.835.0214) is expected to debut this winter.
