With autumn in full swing, it’s the perfect time to sit back and relax with a fall beer from one of these Westchester breweries.
Whether you’re ordering a fruity IPA or a pumpkin ale, you’ll find that breweries throughout Westchester are fully stocked for the season. We’ve compiled a list of our favorite beers to drink on a crisp fall afternoon. Be sure to keep an eye out for new beer releases!
Peekskill Brewery
47 South Water St, Peekskill; 914.734.2337
Peekskill Brewery released two new cans on Halloween weekend, and we still can’t get enough. Moon Shadow and Flow Wolf are two unique brews with funky cans to show for it. The Moon Shadow is a dark lager that is both crisp and enchanting with 5.5% ABV. At first sip, you’re met with a rich malt flavor and a roasty aroma with extreme drinkability. Flow Wolf is a 5.5% ABV IPA made with a unique hop called Styrian Wolf. This might come as a surprise, but the Flow Wolf has floral notes with hints of berry and is fermented hot using Norwegian farmhouse yeast.

If you’re searching for a classic pumpkin drink packed with complimenting flavors, we have the one for you. Witches Brew Pumpkin Ale is ale brewed with roasted pumpkin, caramelized brown sugar, and a blend of spices. (We’re not done yet.) The 6.8% ABV brew also features a rich, malty ale with notes of caramel, cinnamon, and baking spices. If you’re in the market for a darker, stronger ale, the Winter Soulstice is the way to go. This Belgian monastic style dark ale is made with fig and a dash of cinnamon, and it includes flavors of caramel and other dark fruit coming in at 9% ABV.
