When handed a large multi-page menu filled with all sorts of selections from China, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, and other Asian countries, it may not occur to most diners to order off that menu all together. But, making the decision to order the omakase (chef-selected menu) guarantees a culinary adventure at Red Plum: oyster-sake shots, Asian-Italian sushi, and white tuna truffle were just a few stops on a delicious excursion.
We enjoyed an almost entirely shellfish and seafood-based meal, and even the self-proclaimed “non-seafood eater” in our group savored every bite. Here is a visual guide to omakase dishes, as well as to some regular menu items at Red Plum.
