Italian restaurant Chatterbox 54 opened on the main drag in Briarcliff Manor, Pleasantville Road, at the tail end of 2015 (December 7 to be exact) and has drawn steady crowds since. Before opening Chatterbox 54, owner Joseph Pandolfo started on Arthur Avenue, then opened Valentino’s on Bronx River Road, and Bel Paese locations in Port Chester and Hawthorne followed.
Chatterbox serves up a mix of brick oven pizzas, pasta, and dishes from the grill. The pizzas come out of the oven piping hot, and feature classics, such as the margarita, but also a few originals in the fig and goat cheese and their specialty pizza—buffalo chicken and celery, topped with ranch or blue cheese dressing.

The restaurant also offers the specialty garlic bread alla Chatterbox, garlic bread loaded up with sliced tomato, bacon, spinach and fresh mozzarella.
The vibe is casual, with a bar that features three big screen TVs, but a more quiet dining room toward the back. Ultimately though, the main goal is to please the customer. “Number one is pleasing my customers,” Pandolfo said. “I also wanted to create a family atmosphere, especially since the idea for this restaurant came from my two sons and I.”
The menu features 14 different pasta dishes, including homemade ravioli and meat lasagna. Off the grill, you can go big with the Steak Chatterbox 54 for two or lighter options like the pork chops.
The dessert menu features a specialty Nutella pizza, plus classics in the homemade cannoli, tiramisu, and crème brûlée.
