Elmsford’s Barrie House Coffee Roasters is out with a buncha new flavors (and nifty new packaging) to make your morning that much brighter.
A new product line from Barrie House Coffee Roasters in Elmsford celebrates the coffee cherry, and offers a wider selection of new blends to satisfy the diverse palate and preferences of coffee lovers.
For more than 85 years, Barrie House has focused on creating premium, handcrafted coffee with a balanced and complex taste. The new line offers a large selection of blends across three distinctive collections consisting of The Estate Blends, The Signature Flavors, and The Single Origins, with eye-opening flavors like toasted nuts, tropical fruit, and dark chocolate caramel.
Barrie House Coffee Roasters is ranked in the Top 10 Fair-Trade coffee providers in the U.S., a distinction CEO Craig James doesn’t take lightly. “Partnering with our folks at Fair Trade USA and ensuring that from the start, at the seedling, we’ll have good coffee is what we thought was the most appropriate way to get that perfect, delicious cup of coffee to the consumer.”
Barrie House Coffee Roasters is also dropping a seasonal line of conventional coffees infused with familiar flavors and aromas of the fall and winter; think: peppermint bark, caramel apple strudel, and pumpkin spice. The company is striving to make their premium lines available at an affordable price point.
In addition to new blends, new product branding aims to reflect Barrie’s long legacy as a family-owned, third-generation roaster that has continued to support the women coffee farmers who grow their beans. “We wanted to draw light and focus on the gender equity issues within the industry itself and that’s why we chose women farmers to run this program and show our support. We’ve committed to buy five-year’s-worth of harvest from the farmers, so that basically de-risks it for everyone involved and creates a win-win for everyone,” explains James.
The new Barrie House Fair Trade Organic product line will be available in select premium metro New York grocery stores and natural retailers. Keep an eye out for the new burgundy and gold packaging with the three beans at the top.
