Boleria Brazilian Bakery

Festive Brigadeiros

Boleria Brazilian Bakery brings a Latin twist to Easter with a special version of the popular brigadeiros, which are similar to bonbons. They come in boxes of four, eight, 15, or 30 featuring two flavors: the egg nest (milk chocolate) and the chick (white chocolate). The Easter menu also features festively decorated cookies and half-shell chocolate eggs filled with your option of filling, either chocolate mousse, passion fruit mousse, or dulce de leche, to name a few. Craving something savory? Go for the special bacalhau (cod) pie.

Flowerbake by Angela

494 New Rochelle Rd, Bronxville; 914.632.2253

Large Breakable Chocolate Egg

Flowerbake by Angela started spicing up downtown Pelham in early 2018 and, since then, the bakery has moved to Eastchester on the border of Bronxville. The star of the special Easter menu is a tie between the large breakable chocolate Easter egg and the cupcake bouquet basket. Filled with your choice of Easter candy or a wind-up baby chick and candy, the 7.5-inch-tall, gold-flecked egg is available in several colors: robin’s egg blue, daffodil yellow, cherry blossom pink, or milk chocolate bark brown. It even comes with a mini wooden hammer to break open the egg.

The other Easter star is the Flowerbake Spring Abloom cupcake basket filled with a dozen vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet cupcakes. “Some people use them as their table’s floral centerpiece instead of real flowers,” says owner Angela Scalamogna. There’s also a breakable chocolate bunny with candy inside and a DIY egg cookie kit, which includes your choice of sugar cookie dough, mix, or baked cookies and packets of frosting that can be used to draw your own designs.

Easter delights continue with themed cakesicles and Peeps cookies. Though these treats are billed as an offering for kids, we have a feeling the adult kids in the room could have just as much fun. Order online and pick it up the Saturday before Easter or another day by appointment. Local deliveries are available, too.

La Tulipe Desserts

455 Lexington Ave, Mount Kisco; 914.242.4555

Marzipan Rabbits

This elegant Mount Kisco dessert shop brings its A-game to the Westchester Easter treat selection. Offerings besides the marzipan rabbit are other marzipan Easter animals, selections of chocolate bunnies and other animals, themed truffle boxes, and chocolate Easter and robin eggs. The delightfully packaged goodies will make the perfect Easter gift for your kids (or yourself).

Sweetie Pies

North Salem

Bunny Pies

Sweetie Pies’ pies did not need to get any cuter, but they did just that with their mini bunny pies. They come in three flavors: blueberry, wild berry, and strawberry raspberry, each one filled with its flavor of jam and topped with flavored icing. The Bunnies are sold as packs of half a dozen or a dozen, and pickup locations vary; Friday evenings there is usually a pick-up slot in North Salem. Check out the website or Instagram for specific dates and locations to pick up these adorable little sweeties.
