A North Riverdale husband-and-wife duo serve up a fermented fig liquor unlike any other spirit. The fig drink, called mahia, is the national liqueur of Morocco and had been crafted for decades by the owner David Nahmias’ family in Morocco before he and his wife, Dorit, established Nahmias et Fils in Yonkers.
