Frederick Wildman and Sons Ltd. present an evening of wines by Weingut Wittmann paired with a four-course dinner at the Saint George Bistro in Hastings-on-Hudson on Monday, June 23 at 7 pm. The ancient German winery has been in the Wittmann family since the early Seventeenth Century and is located in Westhofen in the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen. Wittmann, an organic winery, is noted for producing Rieslings on the dryer and more mineral end of the Riesling continuum (though the winery also produces sweeter expressions of the grape). The four-course menu for the Saint George dinner will be prepared by Chef Chris Vergara and will concentrate on seafood.
