A healthy hotspot in Armonk, a revamped menu at a White Plains favorite, and a whiskey and wine shop in Dobbs Ferry make the month delicious.
Restaurateur and Yorktown resident Frenco Smanj had a busy 2021, opening late-night hookah bar Mint Restaurant & Lounge (19 Court St, White Plains; 914.600.8232), Coral Seafood Restaurant (63 U.S. 6, Baldwin Pl; 914.519.6230; coralseafoodbaldwinplace.com), and Lake House Restaurant and Bar (825 S Lake Blvd, Mahopac; 845.621.5200; lakehouserestaurantandbar.com).
Bluestone Lane (bluestonelane.com), the healthy-living-focused, Australian-inspired, café/coffee shop has opened its 12th (and Westchester’s first) location, in Armonk (575 Main St; 718.374.6858). On the menu: numerous avocado toasts; chimichurri baked eggs with spinach and feta; granola served with fat-free Greek yogurt; grain bowls, wraps, and an impossible burger; and organic teas and premium coffee.
Hudson Grille (165 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains; 914.997.2000; hudsongrilleny.com) has revamped its menu: Some new items to sample are the Hudson rice bowl, pan-seared branzino, miso-glazed salmon with cauliflower risotto, fish tacos, and a selection of flatbreads.
Crespo Whiskeys & Wines (72 Main St, Dobbs Ferry; 914.219.4935; crespowhiskeys.com), specializing in products from small, family-owned distilleries and wineries, has opened. “I want to bring customers a nice selection of whiskeys, spirits, and wines … that are made with love and passion, unlike some of the better-known mass-produced brands,” says owner Jersom O’Sheaf.

LOOK Dine-In Cinema (1 Hamilton St, Dobbs Ferry; lookcinemas.com), a restaurant/movie-theater hybrid, opened in December in the location that formerly held IPIC Theater. The concept is like its predecessor, with premium plus reserved seating that includes food and drink brought to you, free popcorn, reclining seats, and pillows and blankets.
